Selection of Columns

COUNT
STATE The state abbreviation (US Postal) for the state. This field is included for all entries.
REGION EPA Region (1-10). This field is included for all entries.
TMDL STATUS Status of the TMDL (e.g., submitted, established/approved, disapproved draft, proposed, submitted, or withdrawn). This field is included for all entries.
TMDL DATE Date EPA established or approved the TMDL. This field is included for all entries.
TMDL YEAR The year EPA established or approved the TMDL. This field is included for all entries.
TMDL FISCAL YEAR Fiscal Year EPA established or approved the TMDL. This field is included for all entries.
POLLUTANT ID ID assigned to the TMDL Pollutant. This field is included for all entries.
POLLUTANT DESCRIPTION Description of the pollutant or surrogate for which the TMDL was written). This field is included for all entries.
TMDL TYPE Type of TMDL (e.g., point source, nonpoint source, or both). This field is included for all entries.
EPA ACTION This field describes the action taken by EPA on the TMDL. A value of "EPA Established" signifies that EPA developed and established the TMDL while a value of "EPA Approved" signifies that the state developed the TMDL and EPA approved their submittal. This field is included for all entries.
STATE FIPS CODE The Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) Code is a numeric identifier for the state. This field is included for all entries.
STATE NAME Name of the state, longhand (as opposed to state abbreviation). This field is included for all entries.
PARENT POLLUTANT ID ID associated with the "parent" pollutant. The "parent" pollutants are generalized categories within which two or more specific pollutants are categorized. This field is included for all entries.
PARENT POLLUTANT DESCRIPTION The description of the parent pollutant category. This field is included for all entries.
LIST ID Unique ID assigned to each state listing. The first two characters are the state abbreviation. The middle characters are the water's Waterbody System ID, another state-derived ID, or an arbitrary ID assigned by the state. This field is included for all entries.

COUNT
WATER BODY NAME The name of the waterbody (e.g., Mississippi River). This field is included for all entries.
LOCATION Text description of the location of the listed water. Information in the location field can include: city names, county names, reference to landmarks, etc. This field is optional and not included for all entries.
UNLISTED WATERS FLAG A value of "Y" indicates that the associated water is not on the approved 303(d) list of impaired waters. The state or EPA has determined that this water is impaired since the approval of the previous 303(d) list. This field is included for all relevant entries.
