CWNS NUMBER Authority/Facility Identification Number (A/F). This is unique for a facility. The first two numbers correspond to a State's FIPS code, e.g., Alabama = 01, Alaska = 02, etc. The next four characters correspond to the authority and the last three characters correspond to the facility.

COUNT
FACILITY NAME Name of water quality management project. A facility can be a wastewater treatment plant, municipal storm sewer system, or a nonpoint source (NPS) pollution control project. The Facility Name must be unique within each state.
STATE The state abbreviation (US Postal) for the state. This field is included for all entries.
REGION EPA Region (1-10). This field is included for all entries.
COUNTY NAME The name of the county in which the facility is located.
SYSTEM NAME The System Name that this facility belongs to.
AUTHORITY NAME Non-Federal unit of government responsible for managing the facility.
WATERSHED HUC 8-digit USGS hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) (text format).
WATERSHED NAME The name for the watershed according to the US Geological Survey's 8-digit Hydrological Unit Code (HUC) system, in which the facility is located.
CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT The number of the Congressional District in which the facility is located.
CWNS REVIEW STATUS Indicates whether the list has been reviewed and approved/disapproved by EPA.
CWNS REVIEW STATUS DESCRIPTION A description of the report status that indicates whether the list has been reviewed and approved/disapproved by EPA.
CWNS FACILITY FACT SHEET A hypertext link for a detailed CWNS report.
CWNS MAP A hypertext link for a map of a CWNS facility location.
NUTRT REMOVAL FLAG Present Nutrient Removal flag indicates whether the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit for the wastewater treatment plant included in the facility record currently includes effluent limits for ammonia nitrogen (NH3-N) or phosphorus (P). Project Nutrient Removal flag indicates whether the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit for the wastewater treatment plant included in the facility record is projected in the design year to include effluent limits for ammonia nitrogen (NH3-N) or phosphorus (P).
POLL NAME Pollutant Name
TCWFCCNC EPF CD This code indicates that the values are for existing, permitted design or future design levels.
INFLUENT MSR Average concentration obtained from the most recent 12 month operational period. Only the concentrations of these parameters which must be mentioned to fulfill discharge permit requirements.
