Basic Information

Components:

• Web Services - linking to Universal Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI), an open industry initiative, sponsored by OASIS allowing businesses to publish web service listings and define how the services or software applications interact over the Internet.  Web Services will also store additional metadata about the services.
• XML Schema - providing schema used in data flows for EPA and the Exchange Network
• Shared Schema Components - providing schema pieces and a workbench to assemble schema
• Reusable Blocks of Code - providing code blocks for use in building applications
• Data models and Data Dictionaries - providing metadata about databases and application models
• Templates - providing various templates, including web and portal templates
• Links to Code Sets and Datasets - linking to code sets and datasets used by applications
• Reference Library - providing best practices, lessons learned, solutions, technologies, EPA intranet, and governmental internet sites of interest, etc.

Services:

• Discover - search and browse components and services
• Access - view and download components and services through applicable agreements
• Register - add entries for components and services with metadata to aid discovery
• Build - create XML schema and queries
• Subscribe - receive notifications about new or updated services components
• Collaborate - exchange information; e.g., questions, answers, needs, solutions
